Meet the designer

Embracing his Slavic and multicultural origins, Marjan Maximilian was nurtured from his youngest age by the influences of Byzantium, as well as Greco-Roman antiquity and Ottoman culture. He draws on his cultural diversity and blends ancient technics with innovation.

2007 Curious and passionate about design, art and engineering since his childhood, Marjan Maximilian DENKOV graduated from the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (ENSBA). Shortly after graduating, his work was featured in the art collections of museums and biennials of contemporary art in the world : from Thessaloniki to Texas via Beijing, NYC, Bucharest, Barcelona, Brussels, Skopje, Valencia, Warsaw, Berlin and Paris.

2012 Marjan Maximilian co-founded the French furniture brand, RUE MONSIEUR PARIS.

2013 Official launch of the brand at the Maison et Objet trade show in Paris. Marjan Maximilian’s designs are distinguished and recognisable by their unique aesthetics and creative commitment. Only six months after the brand’s launch, Galeries Lafayette in Paris dedicated their display windows to RUE MONSIEUR PARIS, during Paris Design Week.

2015 On the occasion of the Design and Crafts Exhibition in the City of Paris, Anne HIDALGO, Mayor of Paris, congratulates Marjan Maximilian and highlights his talent and achievements.

2015 RUE MONSIEUR PARIS receives the Label Archi Designer.

2016 RUE MONSIEUR PARIS takes part of the official selection of the French Art Craftsmanship design show at KUNSTGEWERBE Museum Berlin, Museum of Decoratif Arts of Berlin.

2017 In collaboration with Zavar DESIGN engineers, Marjan Maximilian co-designs custom-made radiators. The engineering process receives the Best Innovative Design award from the American Society of Interior Designers at the Architectural Digest Show NYC.

2021 Special recognition by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Macedonian Government for his professional achievements and contribution of cultural exchange.
